Farm System Reform Act
Senator Cory Booker and Representative Ro Khanna reintroduced critical legislation that would place an immediate moratorium on the construction of new or expanding large confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs), with a phaseout of existing large facilities by 2040. Factory farms place our public health and food supply at risk, pollute the environment and our drinking water, wreck rural communities and fuel climate change — while increasing corporate control over our food.
